Statement on modern slavery and human trafficking in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 UK (“Act”)

About us

Calastone is the largest global funds network, connecting the world’s leading financial organisations. Our mission is to help the funds industry transform by creating innovative new ways to automate and digitalise the global investment funds marketplace

We are headquartered in London and operate globally with over 180 employees worldwide.

Our actions to combat slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We maintain a corporate culture that requires high standards of integrity in the conduct of our business.  We comply with all relevant laws and regulations that apply to our business and its operations within all of the jurisdictions that we operate.

Due to the nature of our activities we believe the likelihood of modern slavery and human trafficking existing within the company or its supply chain to be very low.  However, proportionate to the risks involved, we have in place policies and procedures designed to promptly identify any such activity.

Our staff

We have in place various measures to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business:

  • our core values set out how our corporate behaviour as well as how staff are expected to act
  • our recruitment practices include pre-employment checks and references to ensure the right to work in the relevant jurisdiction
  • all staff are issued with a copy of the Employee Handbook that provides guidance and details of procedures in the case of any perceived mistreatment.

Our supply chain

Due to the nature of our business and operations, we believe that our supply chain has minimal if any contact with countries and sectors that are generally identified to having a risk of modern slavery.  Nonetheless, we require all of our suppliers to comply with all relevant laws and regulations..

We will not work with any organisation that has been or is found to be knowingly involved in modern slavery.

We commit to promptly and fully investigate any concerns that are brought to our attention.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st December 2023.
